PM Modi Calls Women the Strongest Force of Bihar’s Progress
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that Bihar will witness a “double Diwali” this year — one on the festival day and another on November 14, when the state celebrates the NDA’s victory in the assembly elections.
Speaking virtually to BJP workers in Bihar through the NaMo app, Modi encouraged women to actively participate in the elections. He asked them to vote in groups, singing songs and beating thalis to mark the festival of democracy.
Addressing a woman booth worker, Modi affectionately asked her to call him “bhaiya” (brother) instead of “sir.” He said that women power is his greatest strength, shield, and inspiration.
‘Ekjut NDA, Ekjut Bihar’: Modi’s Call for Unity and Good Governance
Modi gave a new slogan to party workers — “Ekjut NDA, Ekjut Bihar – Isse banegi sushashan ki sarkar”, meaning a united NDA and a united Bihar will create a government of good governance.
He urged BJP workers to visit every household and spread awareness about central and state welfare schemes, launched under his government and that of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
According to the Prime Minister, the youth of Bihar must be reminded of the “jungle raj” era when Naxalism was widespread. “Young people should know what happened in that period. BJP workers must take them to exhibitions showing the realities of that time,” he said, in a clear reference to the RJD’s past rule.
Prashant Kishor Decides Not to Contest Bihar Polls
In other political news, Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, announced that he will not contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
He said the decision was made for the party’s greater good, adding that if Jan Suraaj wins, it will reshape national politics. “A tally of less than 150 seats will be considered a defeat,” Kishor stated.
However, rival parties — BJP, JD(U), and RJD — mocked his announcement. The RJD said Kishor had “accepted defeat before entering the battlefield,” while BJP called him a “businessman who realized he couldn’t win.” The JD(U) said the move was a “humiliation for his party workers.”

Bihar Gears Up for a Festive and Political Diwali
With the assembly elections just weeks away, the atmosphere in Bihar is electric. As Diwali approaches on October 20, political campaigns are in full swing.
If Modi’s prediction comes true, Bihar will light up again on November 14 — celebrating both Diwali and the NDA’s expected win.
The Prime Minister’s message of unity, women empowerment, and good governance has set the tone for what could be one of the most vibrant elections in Bihar’s history.
