Police Catch Two Men for Film Piracy

Police identified the accused as Md Saddam Hussain and Mousam Gogoi.

  • They arrested Gogoi on Sunday

Earlier, police in Kokrajhar caught Md Rofidul Islam on November 20. He uploaded parts of the movie on his YouTube channel Rafiqul R Vlogs.

Police charged all three men under:

  • Section 318(2) of the BNS

  • Sections 63 and 65 of the Copyright Act

  • Section 66 of the IT Act

  • Section 61(2) of the BNS

  • Sections 6AA, 6AB, and 7 of the Cinematograph Act

These laws show how serious film piracy has become in India.
