A drone found near the India-Bangladesh border in Assam triggered a major security alert. Police and security teams began a full investigation right after the discovery.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was spotted in an open field in Charbazar, near Sribhumi town, a sensitive border area. Local people noticed the drone lying on the ground and quickly informed the police.

Officers secured the area and moved the drone to Sribhumi police station for a full check.

The discovery happened hours after Indian forces launched air strikes on terror bases in Pakistan. Although officials haven’t confirmed any link, the incident has raised concern.

A senior police officer said the drone may have come from across the Bangladesh border. Officials are now checking if it was used for spying, smuggling, or tracking patrols.

Experts are analyzing its GPS system, storage data, and flight path. They want to know if someone controlled it remotely or if it flew on a set route.

This isn’t the first time drones have been found near Assam’s borders. In past cases, drones carried illegal drugs or watched security patrols.

In response, more border patrols and aerial checks have been added. Police have asked locals to stay alert and report anything strange.
