The NCS confirmed the details of the seismic activity on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
“EQ of M: 4.3, On: 18/08/2025 12:09:33 IST, Lat: 26.28 N, Long: 92.71 E, Depth: 35 Km, Location: Nagaon, Assam,” the agency posted.
Residents in parts of Nagaon and Tezpur reported feeling light tremors, though no major damage or injuries have been reported so far.
Recent Earthquake in Rajasthan
This quake follows another earthquake in Rajasthan just a day earlier. On August 17, 2025, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Churu region at 5:30 PM.
The tremor in Rajasthan occurred at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates 7.56 Latitude and 74.01 Longitude, as per the NCS.
